HAE Welcomes a Woman's Perspective

Westborough, MA - For the first time in HAE history, a female pentrates the testosterone barrier. Half Ass Expeditions is excited to announce a new article from Canadian adventurer and HAE fan; Sophie.

Sophie     Sophie was born in northeast New Brunswick, Canada. She began her yearly hiking adventures in 2003, along New Brunswick’s section of the Appalachian Trail. She has since become quite a knowledgeable adventurer, and has led quite a few flatlanders to the summits of the great outdoors. Aside from her hiking expeditions, Sophie mostly enjoys photography, writing, and smoking haebars. This “woman of the wild” shows no fear in the face of challenge, because she knows her primitive instincts will never fail her. Sophie fully embraces her own “half-assedness” and is always ready for a new adventure.

Sophie has penned an article in the HAE skills department specifically for all the woman hikers out there entitled: How To Take a Dump With or Without Snowshoes On - Ladies Style. You can view the article right here. The HAE team is hoping for more contributions from our new correspondent of the Great White North, eh?

Here's a second article from Sophie: From Flatlander to Mountaineer...

Half Ass Expeditions is widely known for the near fatal events on Mount Bigelow, Maine in 1988, chronicled in the online adventure classic, Into Big Maine. HAE is responsible for countless acres of deforestation in northern New England during their well publicized annual winter backpacking expeditions.
